In his prints Abel de Raadt explores experimental visual expression. Using the imperfections of visual production techniques from earlier technological eras, he creates a certain friction critically opposing the cosmetic perfection which shapes contemporary society.

Inspired by the encounter with the gritty cover art of tapes from the cassette culture of the 1980s, his prints come into existence through digital, analog, and mechanical distortion of physical reality. The creative process builds upon the art form of xerography, linking back to his musical compilations and compositions.

Both in music an art the creations of Abel de Raadt convey the capricious nature of reality, balancing resonance and dissonance.
